Thanks for asking; the remote controls are rated for 100-yards. The 2 things to check is (1), make sure the antenna is extended and pointing towards the light. (2) there is an ON/OFF switch on the side of the remote. Make sure it's "ON" and there is a red-LED light on the remote control that lights up when you depress a button, make sure it's activating. One other thing to note is that the remote only triggers the light to start lighting up... it still takes 2-minutes to get to full intensity just like when motion is detected so you might not see an immediate effect, but I assure you it will be at full intensity in 2-minutes.
