What kind of batteries does the remote require? I've had my light since April 2021 and have been really pleased with it, but it seems hard to get it to respond to the remote so I thought I'd replace the remote batteries.

Glad to hear you're pleased with the Slow Glow Light! The remote uses a simple 9v battery, easy to change out. To maximize remote distance, make sure to extend the antenna and point it towards your light, it should easily work inside 100 yards, and much further in open space.
